Powerful AI will compress the biological and medical progress of the next 50-100 years into 5-10 years.To summarize the above, my basic prediction is that AI-enabled biology and medicine will allow us to compress the progress that human biologists would have achieved over the next 50-100 years into 5-10 years.

Universal basic income will be at most a small part of the answer to AI-driven economic disruption.It could be as simple as a large universal basic income for everyone, although I suspect that will only be a small part of a solution.

AI will structurally advance human health and reduce poverty, but there is no strong reason to expect it to structurally advance democracy or peace.Unfortunately, I see no strong reason to believe AI will preferentially or structurally advance democracy and peace, in the same way that I think it will structurally advance human health and alleviate poverty.
